Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive pharma AI initiatives from a remote US location. The role focuses on designing production systems, RAG pipelines, and multi‑agent workflows to transform complex data into actionable insights.

You will work with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and MCPs to deploy scalable AI services, collaborating with product teams to advance healthcare data solutions. Requires 5+ years in AI/ML and strong Python expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications and data driven solutions.
• Graduate degree in CS, Engineering, Statistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of NLP, DL, Generative AI, LLMs and related techniques.
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar).
• Strong Python and ML libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch).
• Experience building scalable backend services (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design production‑ready AI systems using LLMs and ML to solve pharma intelligence problems.
• Build multi‑agent systems and orchestration workflows.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval‑Augmented Generation pipelines.
• Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for safe data access.
• Architect scalable APIs and microservices with low latency.
• Collaborate with product partners to apply AI/ML to content.
• Research and deploy algorithms as microservices with engineering teams.
• Implement testing to manage hallucination risks and ensure stability.
• Contribute to the data science platform and keep up‑to‑date with advances.
• Present developments to internal teams regularly.
• Handle all other duties as assigned.
