Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the People Analytics team in Houston. You will build predictive models forecasting attrition, hiring needs, and turnover trends, and create AI agents to deliver insights to HR leaders.

You will work with Workday and other data systems, validate approaches, and present results to senior leadership, shaping how data informs decisions. This newly created role offers latitude to define modeling approaches and ensure reliable forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist producing models in production.
• Proficiency in regression, time series forecasting, and classification.
• Strong statistical foundation with experimentation and causal inference.
• Experience building with LLMs, agents, tool use, and function calling.
• Experience with large HR datasets, cleaning and structuring data via SQL or APIs.
• Fluent in SQL and Python; ability to explain results to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy predictive models in Python and SQL.
• Develop AI agents to query and act on People data with safe guardrails.
• Explain model results and agent behavior to HR and business leaders.
• Work with HR leaders to forecast needs and automate decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on data pipelines.
