Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking a Senior data science developer to design and build ML models, with responsibility for data extraction, prep, and model development. The role includes coaching juniors and integrating models into production systems.

The candidate will collaborate with business units on feature design, evaluate model performance, and perform exploratory analytics to describe data-driven trends. A strong background in Python, SQL, and ML tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Masters/PhD in Computer Science, mathematics, ML or equivalent
• 4+ years ML experience in a team environment
• 4+ years SQL experience
• 2+ years Python experience

Responsibilities

• Feature selection and data prep for ML models
• Develop, optimize and test ML models
• Measure performance and experiment with improvements
• Plan and execute production integration of models
• Collaborate with business on feature design and model impact
• Ad-hoc analytics to understand data trends
• Learn new tech and languages as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
