Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking a senior data science developer in a hybrid Brooklyn, OH role. The candidate will design and develop ML models, preprocess data, and help bring models into production.

The role requires strong collaboration with business teams to define features and interpret model performance in business terms. You will mentor junior data scientists and contribute to analytics initiatives, with a broad scope across data extraction, modeling, and experimentation.

Qualifications

• Masters/PhD in Computer Science, mathematics, ML or equivalent.
• 4+ years of ML experience in a team environment.
• 4+ years SQL experience.
• 2+ years Python experience.

Responsibilities

• Select features and prepare data for ML models.
• Develop, optimize and test ML models.
• Measure model performance and explore improvements.
• Design production integration for ML models.
• Collaborate with business on feature design and communicate results.
• Conduct ad-hoc analytics to understand data trends.
• Learn new tools and languages as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
