Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Data Scientist III to lead data science projects that drive business impact at scale. You will design and deliver ML and statistical approaches across large datasets, partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into rigorous analytical work.

You will build, train, and evaluate models using Python, R, and SQL, and mentor teammates while promoting best practices and reproducible analyses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or CS
• 4+ years of data scientist experience
• 5+ years of data querying languages (SQL) or scripting languages (Python) or statistical software experience
• Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of data science solutions for complex business problems
• Build, train, and evaluate ML models using Python, R, SQL
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical frameworks
• Mentor and develop other data scientists and contribute to internal enablement
