Job summary

The Zebra in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own the Data Science lifecycle end to end, from data wrangling in our warehouse to building and deploying models and analyzing results.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineers, and Analysts to scope opportunities, write production code, mentor others, and drive measurable impact with ML. Remote-friendly across the US with some optional Austin in-office time; base salary $160,000–$180,000 with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical data role with 3+ years building ML models.
• Strong foundation in Python and data ecosystem (scikit-learn, pandas).
• Production ML ownership including CI/CD, testing, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build ML models to personalize our product and tailor policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into ML solutions.
• Analyze product data, design experiments, and integrate new data sources.
• Write clean, production-grade code to operationalize models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and drive platform improvements.
