Job summary

Polymarket seeks a Senior Data Scientist / Analyst to own analytics for institutional relationships, including market makers, takers, and brokerages. You will understand how each counterparty trades, profits, and whether relationships are strengthening or weakening.

You will analyze flow at the order level and participate in partner reviews, articulating findings to guide negotiations and terms. The role is fast-moving as the institutional side grows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in analytics, trading, or counterparty analysis.
• Expert SQL against order book and transaction data.
• Deep understanding of how professional participants monetize liquidity.
• Credibility in technical discussions with sophisticated counterparties.
• Commercial instinct to assess value of relationships.
• Strong communication and discretion with sensitive data.
• Ability to operate in fast-changing business logic contexts.
• Plus: institutional pricing, rebate design, on-chain data, Python/R, fintech/crypto knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics on our largest makers, takers, and brokerages; be the internal truth on performance.
• Build account-level views: volume, flow, spread capture, rebates, trends.
• Monitor counterparty health and surface risk or churn signals.
• Analyze trading behavior to understand profitability and terms.
• Support institutional reviews and negotiations with analysis of counterparty value.
• Quantify how institutional flow affects liquidity and retail experience.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to create modeled datasets.
• Own end-to-end documentation of analyses for team use.
