Job summary

FINRA is seeking a Lead Analyst to manage and advance data analysis for complex Market data intake and processing projects. You will collaborate with data vendors and downstream consumers to align business needs with technology, while guiding a team and shaping the product direction.

You will act as a data SME, use SQL for data validation, and design models. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential in this hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight or more years in analytics or related field.
• Experience with research/modeling environments using R and/or Python preferred.
• Extensive experience with visualization and analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos Analytics, VBA, Dataiku, Domino).
• Strong skills in business process mapping and requirements documentation.
• Proven track record delivering analytics solutions for infrastructure, operations or application delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes to determine data needs for Market Regulatory Operations.
• Serve as data subject matter expert and provide advanced support.
• Use SQL to analyze data sources, validate integrity and deliver insights.
• Design data and process models and document design requirements.
• Adopt a GenAI-first approach to drive efficiency, innovation, and data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product/delivery teams to align business needs with technology.
• Provide input into product vision and prioritize short-to-medium term goals.
• Develop training materials for end users and lead UAT/demonstrations.
• Lead change management tasks including user documentation and training.
• Mentor less-senior analysts and model a culture of FINRA values.
