Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior Data Scientist to support the PRM Enterprise System (PRiMES) for the Department of State. You will conduct advanced analytics, develop predictive models, and create visual dashboards for program and funding data to inform policy and operations.

The role requires 5–10 years of data science experience, strong Python/R/SQL skills, and experience with BI tools. A secret clearance is required to work with government data and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, data science, information systems, or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience in data science, statistical modeling, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
• Expertise with Python, R, and SQL; experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth data analyses to identify patterns, trends, and insights within complex datasets.
• Develop statistical and predictive models to support policy and program decision-making.
• Analyze large datasets to understand partner performance, program effectiveness, and funding trends.
• Translate questions into structured analytical approaches and measurable variables.
• Apply quantitative methods to support evidence-based decision-making across PRM.
