Job summary

Lynx Analytics is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead complex engagements that blend statistical modelling with Generative AI. You will work with very large datasets, across diverse systems, and present results clearly to C-level stakeholders.

This delivery-first role offers technical leadership, guiding junior scientists and shaping how Lynx builds and ships data science solutions for clients across industries, using modern cloud platforms and production-ready tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science experience with independent workstreams.
• MSc or PhD preferred in Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Engineering.
• Strong grounding in probability, statistics and core data science algorithms with applied experience in retention/campaign management.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis, modelling with PyTorch/TF/JAX, and productionising code.
• Strong SQL and experience with relational/columnar/vector data stores.
• Git/GitHub proficiency including CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Hands-on experience building agentic LLM applications with modern frameworks.
• Experience on AWS/GCP/Azure; Docker and containerised deployment preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data science solutions blending classical modelling with Generative AI/LLM techniques.
• Handle very large datasets across disparate stores and formats from ingestion to validation.
• Apply ML methods to business problems like retention, campaigns, and performance optimization.
• Present results to C-level stakeholders with clear business narratives.
• Lead smaller data science workstreams and mentor junior team members.
• Partner with delivery and account teams to scope problems and set realistic timelines.
• Create reusable documentation, presentations, and code libraries.
