Job summary

Lynx Analytics is seeking a Solution Architect to design technical solutions for client engagements, defining data models, system architectures, and integration patterns. The role emphasizes architecture-first work and hands-on prototyping to de-risk decisions before full delivery.

You will lead discovery with clients, set technical direction, and enable delivery teams with reusable patterns. Strong client communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8+ years of experience spanning data engineering and software engineering, with transition to solution or systems architecture.
• Experience designing data models, system architectures, and integration patterns for production systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python or Typescript and prototype pipelines or application components personally.
• Foundations in data engineering (ETL/ELT) and software engineering (API design, CI/CD).
• Experience in consulting or client-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture for client engagements: data models, system design, integration patterns, and technology choices.
• Lead technical discovery with clients: understand requirements and present architectural options.
• Define standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures for engineers.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs between build speed, cost, scalability, and maintainability.
• Review technical designs to ensure alignment with the architecture.
• Validate architectural decisions hands-on by building prototypes or PoCs.
• Partner with data and software engineers to unblock ambiguous problems.
• Set up evaluation, testing, or monitoring approaches for a solid foundation.
