Job summary

Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Global Supply Chain Data & Analytics team. In this role you will design, develop, evaluate, deploy and continuously improve GenAI and analytics solutions that empower enterprise decision-making.

You will partner with product owners, data engineers and software engineers to translate complex supply chain problems into secure, scalable AI products, while guiding colleagues through technical reviews and governance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, IT or related field with 1–3 years experience.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, or related field with 2 years experience.
• Associate's degree with 6 years relevant experience in data science or analytics.
• Hands-on Python and SQL for data analysis and AI solution development.
• Experience designing GenAI and LLM capabilities such as AI assistants.
• Strong foundation in ML, statistics, time-series, and model evaluation.
• Experience moving AI solutions from experimentation to production with MLOps/LLMOps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as data science lead for AI-enabled capabilities across analytics.
• Translate business problems into prioritized AI use cases with plans.
• Design and deploy GenAI solutions using LLMs, embeddings, and prompts.
• Establish evaluation and monitoring for AI solutions including safety.
• Apply ML and time-series analysis to supply chain use cases.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build trusted datasets and features.
• Work with software engineers to integrate AI into enterprise apps.
• Provide technical guidance and promote reusable approaches.
