Job summary

Amgen Inc. (IR) seeks an Associate Director of Data Science to join the Global Supply Chain Digital team, based in Thousand Oaks or remote.

You will lead development and deployment of AI/ML, GenAI, and digital solutions that transform supply chain operations and enable reliable delivery of medicines worldwide. You will also help establish a India-based digital capability team, define organizational structure, governance, and delivery processes, while guiding global data scientists and developers

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Engineering, CS, Operations, Analytics, Data Science, or related field with industry experience (3 years)
• Master’s degree in relevant field with 5 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience
• Associate’s degree with 12 years of experience
• High school/GED with 14 years of experience
• Experience leading global or offshore teams
• Experience developing scalable data science apps for manufacturing or supply chain
• Strong AI/ML, analytics, and digital product development skills

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI, GenAI, and advanced analytics to transform end-to-end supply chain operations
• Lead scalable digital products, analytics apps, and automation on large datasets
• Help establish and scale a Global Supply Chain Digital capability team in India
• Provide leadership for global data science and digital development teams across locations
• Partner with business, IT, and data engineering to deliver robust analytics
• Create impactful visualizations and executive insights for strategic decisions
• Explore emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities
• Lead productivity analytics and KPI development for operational excellence
