Headway is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a cross-functional product team. You will turn messy signals into decisions, design experiments, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve provider and patient experiences.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Ops, and Clinical stakeholders to define questions, metrics, and decision rules, and you will build predictive models with robust monitoring to operationalize insights.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years using data to drive product or business decisions in product, growth, engineering, or operations environments.
• Strong SQL and strong proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modeling.
• Clear communication: explain complex work to non-technical audiences without losing the truth.
• Strong product sense and opinions, linking analytics to measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated depth in experimentation and causal inference under real-world constraints.
• Bayesian experimentation experience strongly preferred.
• Motivation for improving access and affordability in mental healthcare.
• Practical modeling skills: feature engineering, model comparison, cross-validation or backtesting, calibration, and post-launch monitoring.
• A self-starter mindset: prioritizes, follows through, and needs minimal oversight.

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Ops, and Clinical teams to define questions, metrics, guardrails, and decision rules.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments with clear hypotheses and success criteria.
• Connect behavior to strategy using funnel, cohort, segmentation, and lifecycle analyses.
• Apply causal inference when experiments aren’t possible.
• Build predictive models to operationalize insights with clear launch criteria and monitoring.
• Produce analysis narratives that are crisp and honest about uncertainty to drive action.
• Raise analytics standards to help teams move faster with confidence.
