Job summary

Intuit, Inc. in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist for the Customer Success Data Science team. You will lead data-driven strategies to optimize onboarding, retention, and health across accountants and partner businesses on Intuit's platform.

You will frame the right questions, drive causal analysis, build predictive models for health and churn, and collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering to deploy self-serve analytics and AI-enabled workflows at scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in product, web or customer care analytics, preferably fintech.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, big data technologies (Redshift, Spark, Hive, BigQuery) and BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, Plotly Dash).
• Deep expertise in experimentation design and causal inference with practical applications.
• Ability to frame questions and drive decision making from ambiguous problems.
• Experience building and owning predictive models and data products with business outcomes.
• Experience automating analyses with reproducible pipelines and AI tooling familiarity.
• Strong business acumen and translating strategy into testable hypotheses.
• Strong data storytelling and executive communication skills.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Comfort in fast-paced environments and prioritization changes.
• Bachelor's in Eng, DS, Stats, Math, CS or related; Master's preferred.
• Preferred: strong Python or R, ML/GenAI models, and AI-native system evaluation.
• Familiarity with accounting, bookkeeping, or professional services domains.
• Experience solving growth problems at fintechs serving SMBs.

Responsibilities

• Define KPIs and success metrics across onboarding, product adoption, customer health, retention and growth.
• Provide actionable recommendations using diverse data sets and business knowledge.
• Own experimentation and causal inference end-to-end; defend the chosen method.
• Build and own predictive health, churn and expansion models; drive outcomes.
• Develop durable customer segmentation for targeting and service coverage.
• Translate data insights into clear visualizations for leadership.
• Design and run automated, self-serve analytics with real-time capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI teams to integrate AI solutions into processes.
• Partner with product, digital, customer support, sales and marketing to steer strategy.
