Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a senior technical leader to guide traditional and agentic AI/ML capabilities across voice, chat, and emerging experiences. You will steer the Data Science lifecycle from problem framing, research, and experimentation through deployment, production measurement, and continuous optimization, partnering with product, engineering, UX, analytics, and risk teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Science or applied AI with leadership experience.
• Strong ML background: supervised/unsupervised, evaluation, deployment.
• Expert in NLP, transformers, embeddings, prompting, RAG.
• Experience with agentic AI systems and evaluation/observability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across enterprise conversational AI.
• Lead data science lifecycle from problem framing to production.
• Develop scalable evaluations and benchmarks for AI systems.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, UX, analytics, risk stakeholders.
