Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Attribution, to own attribution algorithms within a risk category and drive direct customer outcomes, including disrupting crypto-enabled crime networks. You will operate as a Subject Matter Expert and Data Scientist, translating domain knowledge into production-grade intelligence.

The role emphasizes end-to-end attribution, collaboration with SMEs, and building scalable data pipelines in a fully remote, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in an analytical role with strong SQL, Python, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Demonstrated domain curiosity — blockchain, fraud, money laundering, or cybercrime.
• Experience with distributed data systems (Spark, BigQuery, Airflow) and shipping production code.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end attribution for a risk category: identify high-impact targets and ship to production.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate customer and GTM needs into actionable intelligence.
• Navigate network/on-chain/protocol layers to uncover patterns competitors can't replicate.
• Ship production-quality code—heuristics, ML models, and data pipelines with rigorous evaluation.
• Drive measurable outcomes: billions in illicit funds traced, seized, or prevented.
