Job summary

nCino, the world leader in cloud banking, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data & AI team and drive AI-powered automation and insights in our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify high-impact challenges, analyze complex datasets, and develop, deploy, and monitor data-driven solutions that improve banking software usability and performance.

Strong experience in ML, production deployment, and communicating technical results to business stakeholders

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience or combination
• Proficiency in Python or R
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Quicksight)
• Mastery of machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Experience with SQL/noSQL and database management
• Experience deploying and monitoring models in production
• Strong understanding of the banking domain
• Ability to translate business questions into analytics projects
• Comfortable in fast-paced team environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with production code practices (testing, OOP, logging, version control)

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy ML models at scale and monitor performance
• Develop analytics tools to solve business problems for banking products
• Work with multiple data sources and stakeholders to define analytical approaches
• Prototype ideas and compare approaches with clear trade-offs
