Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Data Scientist, Sr. Specialist to join the PDS BI&T team and advance AI-enabled analytics for supply risk across the US, Europe and Asia.

You will work with Claude Code, Databricks, and AWS Glue to build models and dashboards that translate data into actionable insights for risk management. The role emphasizes hands-on modeling, front-end development, and collaboration with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in a relevant life sciences, informatics, data, or technical discipline; advanced degree a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in IT, informatics, data analysis, or a scientific data-focused role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis and modeling; solid grounding in statistics.
• Hands-on exposure to ML or Generative AI and interest in Claude Code.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to ML and probabilistic models, incl. Monte Carlo simulations.
• Build Claude-based features: LLM narratives, intelligent alerts, risk interfaces.
• Develop forecasting and anomaly detection components for risk scoring.
• Create interactive front-ends (Streamlit, React) for business users.
• Balance fast ad-hoc analyses with long-running digital product work in agile sprints.
• Document assumptions, data, methodology, and validation; uphold responsible AI practices.
