Job summary

PEMCO is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Actuarial to conduct complex actuarial and predictive analyses, develop large-scale models, and support product development and pricing strategies. The role requires collaboration with Product and other business units, plus mentoring colleagues to raise the team's expertise.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in actuarial/statistical modeling and proficiency in Python, R, SAS, and SQL. A strong commitment to PEMCO's values and social impact is expected.

Qualifications

• S. degree or equivalent work experience (Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field) is required
• Graduate or other professional degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in actuarial and statistical predictive modeling is required

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex actuarial and predictive analyses to support product development, rating, reserving, and process improvements.
• Develop large-scale predictive modeling and multivariate analysis.
• Create queries and tools to assist the development and implementation of rates, rating plans, pricing strategies and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Team and other business units to provide business solutions.
• Mentor less experienced members, sharing best practices.
