Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science to lead AI, analytics, and reporting initiatives that span all Contact Center Transformation workstreams. The role focuses on model development, performance, and value realization to reduce contacts and improve self-service adoption.

You will partner with business and technology teams to deliver measurable impact, synthesize complex analytics for leadership, and guide investment decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data science, advanced analytics, or applied machine learning.
• 3+ years using data and models to solve business opportunities.
• 2+ years leading analytics initiatives across multiple projects.
• 2+ years with AI/ML solutions in production or operations.
• 2+ years working across cloud data platforms (Azure, Google Cloud).
• 2+ years of healthcare experience.
• 2+ years in highly matrixed, collaborative roles.
• 1+ years of business and financial analysis (opportunity sizing, cost/benefit).

Responsibilities

• Lead AI model development, optimization, and performance measurement across multiple CCT workstreams.
• Define and maintain measurement frameworks, KPI definitions, and value-realization methodologies for AI initiatives.
• Partner with workstream owners to evaluate model performance and prioritize enhancements.
• Diagnose issues across data pipelines and cloud stacks; drive root-cause analysis for AI tools.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive analytics across workstreams.
• Prepare executive-level summaries, dashboards, and business cases for AI initiatives.
• Oversee opportunity sizing, cost/benefit analysis, and approvals for AI projects.
