Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Scientist to join the AI Foundations Specialist Models Data Science team. You will collaborate with product, tech, and design to deliver AI-powered features that personalize customer experiences and support the digital assistant Eno across billions of records.

You will build and deploy ML and NLP models, leveraging PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs, with production systems serving 80+ million customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 7 years of analytics
• Master's degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 5 years analytics
• PhD in a quantitative field plus 2 years analytics
• At least 2 years of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
• At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning
• At least 2 years of experience utilizing relational databases

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, ML engineers and PMs to deliver AI-powered products
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies — PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, LangChain, Lightning, VectorDBs to reveal insights
• Be the NLP expert to harness Large Language Models, adapt and fine-tune for customer-facing apps
• Build ML and NLP models through design, training, evaluation and deployment for 80+ million customers
• Translate complex technical work into tangible business goals
