Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Foundations Specialist Models lead to drive NLP and ML innovations at scale for 80+ million customers. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deploy AI-powered features that change how customers interact with their money.

You’ll work with PyTorch, AWS ultraclusters, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs, turning complex data into practical decisions. A leadership mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in a quantitative field with data analytics experience.
• 2+ years with open source languages for large-scale data analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with machine learning and relational databases.
• Experience training language models or computer vision models a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Leverage PyTorch, AWS, LangChain, and other tools to process large data.
• Specialize in NLP and fine-tune LLMs for customer-facing features.
• Develop end-to-end ML/NLP models from design to production.
• Translate complex results into tangible business outcomes.
