Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Scientist to join the AI Foundations Specialist Models Data Science Team. You will build NLP and ML models at scale, leveraging PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs to unlock insights from billions of records for personalized customer experiences.

You will collaborate with product, tech, and design partners to operationalize models in production, delivering capabilities for Capital One's mobile app and digital assistant experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a quantitative field with extensive data analytics experience.
• At least 2 years of experience using open source languages for large-scale data analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience with machine learning.
• At least 2 years of experience using relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI powered products that change how customers interact with money.
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies to reveal insights from large numeric and textual data.
• Serve as NLP expert to harness LLMs for customer-facing applications and features.
• Build ML/NLP models from design through training, evaluation, and deployment at scale.
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals.
