Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Scientist for AI Foundations. You will lead NLP and ML initiatives, prototype scalable AI products, and partner with product, tech and design to deliver personalized experiences for millions of customers.

You will work with a broad stack including PyTorch, AWS, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs, shaping the next generation of AI-powered features and services across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of analytics experience; Master's plus 3 years; PhD in quantitative field.
• Experience with data analytics and modeling in enterprise environments.
• Strong foundation in statistics, math, and ML concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products for customers' money.
• Leverage technologies like PyTorch, AWS, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs to uncover insights from large data sets.
• Build ML and NLP models from design to training, evaluation and production deployment.
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals for non-technical stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field

Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration

PhD in a quantitative field
