Job summary

Collective Insights in Atlanta is seeking a Data Protection Leader to design and deliver enterprise data protection solutions across classification, DLP, insider risk, eDiscovery, and DSPM.

You will translate business and regulatory needs into scalable architectures using Microsoft Purview (primary) with Varonis and Proofpoint, partnering with clients to reduce risk and drive value.

The role requires 5–8+ years of experience, a CS/InfoSec degree, and strong leadership, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in data protection across at least two domains with enterprise delivery.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Masters preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Purview, Varonis, and Proofpoint; strong regulatory expertise.
• Experience designing scalable data protection architectures and DSPM integrations.
• Strong communication and workshop facilitation for executives.
• Certifications in security (preferred): CISSP, CIPP, or vendor certs.

Responsibilities

• Design target-state data protection architectures aligned to regulatory and Zero Trust principles.
• Lead client engagements, workshops, and executive-level risk discussions.
• Guide implementation with Purview, Varonis, Proofpoint, and DSPM integrations.
• Define controls for data classification, retention, and auditability.
• Perform threat modeling, reviews, and non-functional requirements.
• Produce architecture diagrams, runbooks, and status reporting.
