Job summary

MDVIP is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner who lives in the data. You will own the backlog for data products end-to-end and partner with marketing, operations, sales, and member services to translate business goals into actionable data-driven features.

You will apply strong SQL/Python skills, leverage Databricks, and champion AI-first approaches to deliver measurable business outcomes for a leading healthcare data platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum three (3) years of related experience in product ownership, business analysis, or technical product management, preferably supporting analytics or data products.
• Demonstrated hands-on data skills (SQL and Python) and experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, plus ability to design data models.
• Experience building wireframes and dashboards with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Practical experience applying AI/LLM tools in a product or analytics context.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and requirements for assigned data products, collaborating with marketing, operations, sales, and member services to translate goals into user stories and technical requirements.
• Design conceptual data models and work with data architects and engineers through to implementation.
• Query, analyze, and interrogate data to size opportunities, prioritize backlog, and measure ROI on features.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (scrum, backlog refinement, sprint planning) to drive clarity and alignment.
• Define success metrics and instrument measurement to show business impact after release.
• Apply AI throughout the product lifecycle and drive AI-first data self-service capabilities.
