Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to lead strategy, discovery, and delivery of Medical and Dental data products across payer, provider, and pharmacy networks.

You will partner with Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Business teams to define outcomes, manage roadmaps, and drive measurable impact within a regulated data environment. The role requires strong healthcare data domain expertise and a customer-driven, results-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management for data platforms or large-scale technical products.
• 7+ years of experience managing data products, data platforms, or analytical products.
• 5+ years of experience with modern product management practices (discovery, roadmapping, OKRs).
• 5+ years of experience with healthcare data and data products.
• 3+ years with cloud-based data ecosystems and modern data architectures.
• Proven ability to partner with engineering, architecture, and data teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for data products grounded in customer needs and business goals.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities using customer insights, market trends, and data-driven analysis.
• Define and track product outcomes, success metrics, and OKRs.
• Reassess strategy and priorities based on evidence and learning.
• Develop artifacts and communicate product vision, priorities, and strategy to cross-functional teams.
