Job summary

Mural's Govern & Trust team seeks a Senior Product Manager to define the metrics that show how Mural creates value and to power internal decisions and customer-facing reporting. You will shape the metric layer, work with data engineering on event standards, and translate raw product events into insights and dashboards that drive adoption and ROI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, including shipping at least one analytics or reporting product used by paying business customers. You defined the metrics behind it, not just the UI.
• A track record of making messy or conflicting data trustworthy: reconciling definitions and instrumentation.
• Experience building platform products and end-user data products like analytics or insights.
• Working knowledge of modern data stacks: event pipelines, warehouses/lakehouses, dbt-style modeling, and semantic layers; SQL ability.
• You can gain agreement on definitions across teams you don't manage (PMs, data, analytics, finance, GTM).
• Experience with enterprise admin/governance products (IAM, security, compliance, audit).
• Hands-on with semantic layer tools (dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, LookML).
• Experience designing APIs, MCP servers, or connectors for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Shape how data products evolve from reporting to guiding actions across Mural.
• Define shared, cross-product metrics and publish standards; influence data engineering.
• Be a thought partner to domain PMs for north-star metrics and easy exploration of product data.
• Own strategy and roadmap for Insights: in-product reporting, dashboards, exports, APIs, audit logs.
• Package and launch MCP server and guardrails; define data exposed and access for customers.
