Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Senior Data Product Manager, Analytical Data Products, to lead the development and optimization of strategic data products across the organization. You will report to the Director for Analytical Data Products and act as an autonomous product leader, defining vision and aligning with enterprise objectives.

You will champion modern data architectures, mentor agile squads, and collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business leaders to deliver scalable data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in product management, data management, AI, or related field.
• Strong technical fluency with big data technologies, relational/non-relational databases, SQL, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of Semantic Layer concepts, data lifecycle management, and enterprise data governance frameworks.
• Experience with data observability, data quality, governance, and lineage tools.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop data product vision and roadmaps aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle for Analytical Data Products and manage the product backlog.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to drive adoption and value.
• Define data quality metrics and governance standards across the organization.
• Guide architecture with data mesh/fabric and semantic layer concepts for scalability.
