Job summary

Expedia Group in Austin, TX seeks a Principal Product Manager for Data Products to own the roadmap for data platforms enabling ML, personalization, and analytics across multiple domains. You will design granular event datasets, partner with ML scientists, and drive cross-domain data flywheels while leading senior product managers.

The role requires deep data product experience, strong SQL and data architecture skills, and the ability to navigate a large, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of product management experience with data platforms or data products.
• Direct, hands-on experience building data products for ML training with granular event-level datasets.
• Experience partnering with ML scientists and translating model requirements into data product specs.
• Strong data architecture and SQL skills; ability to engage with data pipelines and systems.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products enabling ML and analytics across domains.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on high-visibility data enablement initiatives.
• Design data flywheels connecting insights across data domains for cross-domain intelligence.
• Mentor Senior and mid-level Product Managers in data product management and ML-adjacent work.
• Represent the team to senior executives with clear, business-focused communication.
