Job summary

Expedia Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Data Processing team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality services and data pipelines that power analytics and ML capabilities across the company.

You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable software in a cloud environment, implement API and data-model improvements, and contribute to operations with monitoring and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and low-level system designs for production.
• Experience owning services through the full software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software services and components (LLD, API design, data modeling).
• Collaborate with product, design, and peers to break down requirements and deliver features.
• Write clean, reliable code with unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve production and non-production issues; contribute to operations.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and adapt to new technologies and domains.
