Job summary

Siemens in India seeks a Senior Data Privacy Lead to oversee global information protection requirements and ensure regulatory compliance across GDPR, US, and China frameworks. You will guide policy design, program execution, and cross-functional collaboration with legal, security, and business teams.

Responsibilities include managing a team, developing data protection programs, aligning with corporate strategy, and advising executives on risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• First professional regulation degree (like JD) or its foreign equivalent, and 60 months of experience in the role or in information protection.
• 5 years of experience working with global information security regulations and guidelines, including GDPR and ePrivacy mandates.
• Support the design, implementation and maintenance of privacy by design processes and vendor/processor management strategies.
• Create and implement data handling policies (controller2controller, processor2processor) and supporting materials such as playbooks and FAQs.
• Assess, review, and guide global data transfers and the implementation of data transfer safeguards.
• Experience working with cloud environments and handling personal data.
• 5 years of experience drafting and negotiating general agreement and business terms in support of deals, including with cloud SaaS products or product lifecycle management software.
• 2 years of experience managing legal and non-legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Managing worldwide information protection needs for the organization, identifying priorities and focusing on compliance based on regulatory changes, the organization, and business models.
• Supporting the design, implementation and improvement of policies, procedures, and measures to ensure compliance with global information protection regulations, such as GDPR, US privacy regulations, and Chinese information security regulations.
• Ensuring consistent processes, policy frameworks, and templates for information security matters with emphasis on legal aspects, automation, and scale.
• Managing and administering the Information Protection Team; hiring, training, and enabling regional legal leads for training support.
• Coordinating the Information Protection Team, monitoring performance, and reviewing execution for functional leads.
• Establishing the role and process in cross-functional information security matters, including development, support, compliance, and sales.
• Acting as consultant to and drafting lawful information security matters handled by external counsel.
• Assisting with security risk assessments and integration efforts.
• Serving as a lead partner to C-suite executives and ensuring compliance on information security.
