Job summary

Siemens AG seeks a Director of Data & Privacy R&D to lead privacy and data governance across Asset Management Software, embedding privacy into product development and platform operations. The role partners with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, and Legal/Compliance to translate requirements into practical engineering patterns and measurable outcomes.

The U.S.-based position is ideally Raleigh, NC, with openness to qualified remote candidates across the Eastern U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of technical privacy experience.
• Experience translating regulatory obligations into practical controls, workflows, and engineering actions.
• Strong technical fluency in B2B SaaS or cloud environments, including AI, cloud architecture, multi‑tenancy, APIs, incident response, threat models, and access controls.
• Proven delivery of privacy program artifacts and operating mechanisms (RoPAs, DPIAs, DSR workflows, checklists, policies, governance routines).
• Executive presence and cross‑functional influence with product, legal, security, sales, customers, and regulators; IAPP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of Siemens privacy and data governance roadmap in alignment with enterprise strategy and requirements.
• Operate privacy engineering and privacy operations capabilities and coordinate with DPOs across functions.
• Translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications, architecture changes, and engineering tickets.
• Own the privacy program budget, forecast needs, and provide spend visibility.
• Run monthly privacy/security governance activities and deliver KPI dashboards.
