Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to drive privacy engineering and enterprise data protection across data environments. You will lead the strategy, design, and deployment of PETs, encryption, tokenization, and DLP while aligning with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years advancing Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related technical disciplines, including GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA compliance.
• 5+ years designing and deploying enterprise-scale data protection capabilities (encryption, tokenization, DLP, PETs).
• 5+ years in software development and automation using Python, Java, Go, or similar languages.
• 5+ years operating in cloud-native/DevSecOps environments with CI/CD and IaC.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, or compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across structured/unstructured data.
• Design and deploy PETs, encryption, tokenization, anonymization, DLP, and other privacy-preserving solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity to embed privacy-by-design and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations for regulatory obligations.
• Drive governance, privacy metrics, automation, and advanced analytics to strengthen data protection and operational efficiency.
