Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to protect patient and colleague data while enabling compliant data use. You will shape enterprise privacy architecture, drive PET deployments, and partner across Legal, Compliance, Engineering, and Product to implement privacy-by-design at scale.

You will lead risk assessments, data classification, and governance programs, advancing privacy maturity across structured and unstructured data environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Privacy/ Security/Data protection roles with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA.
• 5+ years building enterprise data protection incl. encryption, DLP, PETs.
• Strong software engineering with Python/Java/Go.
• 5+ years in cloud-native DevSecOps with CI/CD and IaC.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering.
• Design and deploy PETs like encryption, tokenization, anonymization, and data classification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed privacy-by-design and governance.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, and privacy tech innovation.
