Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability, observability, and automation across Datavant’s data and ML platform. You will partner with Data & ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analytics teams to ensure scalable, secure, and production-grade data systems in a hybrid cloud setup.

You will own platform lifecycle for Databricks and Snowflake, drive cost optimization, and implement CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Terraform.

Qualifications

6+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps roles supporting data-intensive or ML-powered apps.
Hands-on Databricks experience including workspace setup, cluster/job management, and CI/CD integration.
Deep understanding of AWS-based cloud-native infrastructure (VPCs, IAM, event-driven patterns, serverless).
Observability with logging/monitoring platforms (Datadog) and SLO/SLAs for critical services.
Strong CI/CD skills with GitHub Actions and Terraform IaC.

Responsibilities

Operate and improve Databricks and Snowflake platforms end-to-end, including automation and cost optimization.
Design reliable, scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across environments.
Advance observability with platform-wide monitoring, alerts, and logging.
Drive CI/CD for data pipelines and ML workloads using GitHub Actions and IaC.
Enable data movement across multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
