Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Data & ML Platform team. You will build and operate a resilient, observable, and scalable platform enabling critical data and ML workloads across the organization.

This role requires an SRE mindset, cloud-native expertise on AWS, and deep experience with Databricks and Snowflake. You will drive CI/CD and telemetry while collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver secure, self-service infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE or related roles supporting data-intensive or ML workloads.
• AI-native working style with familiarity of code assistants to improve team velocity.
• Hands-on Databricks experience including workspace setup, cluster/job management, and CI/CD integration.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or similar cloud.
• Expertise with observability tools, especially Datadog, and platform-wide logging/monitoring.
• Strong CI/CD skills, notably GitHub Actions and Terraform, with data-system deployments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve Databricks and Snowflake platforms including governance and cost optimization.
• Design for reliability across cloud environments with autoscaling and failover.
• Advance observability through platform-wide monitoring, alerting, and logging.
• Drive CI/CD for data pipelines and ML workflows using IaC tooling.
• Enable cross-cloud data movement and secure data flow patterns.
• Collaborate across teams to align platform with analytics and product needs.
