Samsara is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Platform to lead a data-focused team responsible for a scalable data lake and infrastructure. You will shape the data roadmap as the company grows across geographies, collaborating with cross-functional partners, ensuring privacy, security, and customer value.

The role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and a growth mindset, with remote-friendly options and a path to impact across a global operations platform.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or other related technical degree.
• 5+ years of technical people management experience.
• 8+ years of relevant technical experience with data infrastructure.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale data platform systems with feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Comfortable leading infrastructure development in collaboration with cross functional teams, scientists, and researchers.
• A solid understanding of agentic development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data-focused engineers to build and maintain a stable, scalable, and modern data platform capable of handling petabytes of data.
• Help drive long-term planning and establish scalable processes for execution.
• Actively contribute to building the data roadmap for Samsara, including being a thought leader in our AI transformation.
• Stay connected to novel technological developments that suit Samsara’s needs.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
• Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing international team.
