Job summary

Vantive, a vital organ therapy company, is seeking a Data Platform Leader to guide EDH design, data ingestion and transformation, and trusted data products. You will own end-to-end data pipelines across AWS S3 and Snowflake, setting standards and driving modernization.

You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with BI and analytics groups, and ensure scalable, secure data architectures for enterprise reporting and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, or enterprise data platform development.
• 5+ years leading technical teams or enterprise-scale data delivery initiatives.
• 5+ years hands-on Snowflake development, optimization, and secure data design.
• Strong experience with AWS data services, especially S3-based ingestion and processing patterns.
• Proven experience designing pipelines for large-scale enterprise reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for EDH, AWS S3 ingestion patterns, Snowflake, and data engineering delivery.
• Own end-to-end technical design for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and curated data product delivery.
• Establish reusable engineering standards, development patterns, and operational best practices.
• Lead technical design reviews and partner with architecture teams for scalable solutions.
• Drive modernization toward domain-driven data architecture and trusted data products.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across batch, incremental, CDC, and file-based ingestion patterns.
• Build and enhance pipelines from source systems into AWS S3 and Snowflake layers.
• Implement transformation logic, validations, enrichment, data harmonization, and audit controls.
• Support EDH layers and patterns such as collect, translate, curate, and Snowflake consumption layers.
• Partner with application and BI teams to meet reporting and analytics requirements.
• Lead Snowflake development activities including schemas, tables, views, stages, tasks, and governance patterns.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, compute utilization, and cost efficiency.
• Enable curated datasets and reusable data products for reporting, analytics, AI, and advanced analytics use cases.
• Lead and mentor data engineers and delivery teams across design, build, test, deployment, and production support.
• Review designs, code, data models, and deployment packages for quality and standards adherence.
• Manage dependencies across infrastructure, security, platform, and business teams.
• Drive issue resolution and operational readiness for production releases.
• Provide hands-on guidance for complex pipeline, integration, or data quality issues.
