Job summary

Inovalon seeks a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Platform Engineering to own a centralized Power BI monitoring and reporting platform across the Data Governance, Informatics, and Analytics teams. You will lead backend data pipelines, architectures, and infrastructure while steering a high‑performing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data architecture and engineering experience.
• Proven track record leading high-performing engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Experience with healthcare data and regulated industries is a plus.
• Strong backend technologist with Java/Python and data pipelines expertise.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and data storage.
• Proficiency in Power BI and DAX for reporting and analytics.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Define data architecture and schemas for governance, analytics and informatics reporting.
• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines and integrations to source systems.
• Hands-on development of Power BI reports and data models as needed.
• Hire, manage, and mentor a data operations team; set engineering standards.
• Own end-to-end platform success from data architecture to final reports.
• Ensure data security, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Own infrastructure for performance, capacity, and environment security.
• Collaborate with governance, informatics, and analytics leads to translate needs.
• Lead testing, code reviews, deployments, and defect resolution.
• Drive Agile delivery with demos, retros, and Jira-based work management.
• Document data architecture, pipelines, coding standards, and changes.
