Job summary

Inovalon seeks a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Platform Engineering to own a centralized Power BI monitoring and reporting platform. You will lead backend data pipelines, architecture, and DAX models, while building and guiding a dedicated team to deliver scalable, compliant analytics solutions.

The role requires hands-on capability across the stack, with strong experience in data governance, informatics, and analytics; cloud-based data solutions and BI reporting are central to the mission.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data architecture and engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Experience with healthcare data (claims, EHR, payer/provider).
• Strong backend technologies (e.g., Java, Python).
• Experience with AWS data services and data storage.

Responsibilities

• Define the data architecture and schemas underpinning the platform for governance, analytics, and informatics reporting needs across critical systems.
• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines and integrations to ensure accurate, audit-ready data for Power BI reporting.
• Hands-on in Power BI reports and data models to support delivery.
• Hire, manage, and mentor a data operations team; set engineering standards and architecture decisions.
• Own end-to-end platform success from data architecture to final reports; ensure data models meet stakeholder needs.
• Ensure data security and HIPAA-compliant handling throughout the data lifecycle.
• Own infrastructure for performance, capacity, and security as data volume grows.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Informatics, Analytics leads to translate requirements into data models and pipelines.
• Drive Agile delivery with demos, retrospectives, and issue resolution; maintain documentation.
