Job summary

Inovalon seeks a Senior Manager to own and lead a centralized Power BI monitoring and reporting platform for Data Governance, Informatics, and Analytics. You will oversee backend data architecture, pipelines, and reports, while building and guiding a high-performing team to deliver end-to-end solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in data architecture/engineering, strong leadership in Agile, and expertise with Power BI, AWS, and healthcare data.

Qualifications

• 10+ Years of data architecture and engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams within an Agile environment.
• Experience with healthcare data (claims, clinical/EHR, payer/provider) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to define data architecture and schemas.
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies (Java, Python) and data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS data services and cloud-based data storage.
• Working proficiency in Power BI and DAX for reports.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices (Git, JIRA).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture: Define data architecture and schemas supporting governance and analytics across systems.
• Backend Platform Ownership: Build/maintain ingestion pipelines connecting platform to source systems.
• Hands-On: Develop/troubleshoot Power BI reports and data models as needed.
• Team Leadership: Hire, manage, mentor data operations engineers; set standards.
• End-to-End Accountability: Ensure pipelines and models feed final reports.
• Data Security & Compliance: Handle sensitive data per HIPAA and policies.
• Infrastructure & Scalability: Maintain scalable platform infrastructure.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Translate requirements into data models and pipelines.
• Engineering Standards: Enforce code quality, testing, and DoD.
• Quality & Testing: Oversee automated tests; reviews; deployment tasks.
• Agile Delivery: Drive demos/retrospectives; manage work in Agile tools.
• Documentation: Maintain data architecture and pipeline docs.
