Job summary

SmithRx’s Data Engineering team seeks a senior engineer to transform data streams into actionable insights for PBM challenges. You will help design, implement, and maintain distributed data systems using Airflow, dbt and Snowflake, while guiding a team and collaborating with ML and analytics groups.

Your hands-on expertise in PySpark, SQL and Python, plus experience with modern data tooling, will drive data governance, quality, and scalable solutions across our platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial data engineering experience or 12+ years with undergrad in CS/IT.
• Strong data modeling, DB design, and data warehouse knowledge (Snowflake).
• Proficient in PySpark, SQL and Python; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term data engineering strategy aligned with company priorities.
• Design end-to-end pipelines and API boundaries; simplify infrastructure.
• Drive engineering quality, review designs, and mitigate risks.
• Mentor engineers and communicate technical plans to executives.
