Job summary

JoCo in Wisconsin seeks a Senior IT Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran. You will scale ELT pipelines, implement engineering best practices, and deliver production-ready data solutions with minimal oversight.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, create reusable dbt models, improve Snowflake performance, and automate with Python while adopting Git-based workflows and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations.
• Strong Python programming for automation and data engineering.
• Experience with Git version control, collaboration, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and data quality.
• Experience with Airflow, Astronomer, or similar orchestration tools preferred.
• Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop and support scalable ELT pipelines using Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake.
• Create modular dbt models, macros, tests, and docs.
• Optimize Snowflake performance and costs.
• Build automation and tooling with Python.
• Implement Git-based development workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Monitor and maintain production data pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
