Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Software Engineer for the Data Platform team to build scalable data infrastructure that analyzes blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You will develop reliable data services and ETL pipelines, design complex data models, and ensure sub-second query performance across distributed storage systems.

You will collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful data products while operating in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting distributed systems.
• Exceptional programming skills in Python, and SQL or SparkSQL.
• Experience with data stores and engines like Iceberg, Trino, BigQuery, StarRocks, and Citus.
• Proficiency with data pipelines and workflow tools like Airflow and DBT.
• Expertise in Spark, Kafka, and Flink for streaming data.
• Experience deploying and monitoring infrastructure on public clouds using Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog.
• Proven ability to load, query, and transform large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable data services to integrate with multiple blockchains.
• Develop ETL pipelines processing petabytes of data in real time.
• Design data models to support sub-second blockchain query latency.
• Oversee deployment and monitoring of large DB clusters for high availability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers on new models.
