Job summary

Lyric seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in the US. You will build the data foundation across Lyric's products, owning the canonical data model and production pipelines using Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Python.

This is a hands-on role focused on automated validation, observability, and scalable design. You will mentor peers and influence architectural direction while ensuring solid CI/CD and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with production pipelines.
• Strong Snowflake experience and SQL optimization.
• Production experience with dbt and Airflow, plus Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data pipelines in a unified framework.
• Implement canonical data model in production and ensure quality.
• Build automated validation and data quality checks into pipelines.
• Instrument pipelines for observability including freshness and lineage.
• Collaborate with consuming teams to translate requirements into data.
• Migrate workloads to the unified framework without disruption.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident reviews.
• Maintain high engineering standards: VCS, testing, CI/CD, docs.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical level of the team.
