Job summary

Collectors Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale our data platform. You will own data pipelines, the Google BigQuery warehouse, and the dbt transformation layer while collaborating with analytics teams.

You will design ingestion pipelines, work across SaaS and ERP sources, and leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development. Remote or hybrid options are available with on-site expectations for some offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data platforms and pipelines in production.
• Strong experience with cloud data warehousing (BigQuery or equivalent).
• Hands-on with SQL, Python, and modern ingestion tooling.
• Experience developing with AI-assisted coding agents (Claude Code or similar).
• Governance, data quality, and observability focus in pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and own components of the data platform: ingestion, warehouse, and transformation layers.
• Design scalable, reliable data pipelines across diverse sources.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate data needs into durable platform capabilities.
• Develop and maintain AI-assisted coding practices and guardrails for fast, safe engineering.
• Ensure monitoring, testing, alerts, and on-call readiness for data products.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to lakehouse patterns and open table formats.
