Job summary

TelevisaUnivision, the leading Spanish-language media company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own end-to-end production data pipelines for ViX. You will design, build, and deploy scalable data platforms, collaborating with product, data science, and analytics teams to deliver analytics-ready data at scale.

You will leverage GCP technologies (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer), Python, SQL, and dbt to transform raw data into actionable insights, while ensuring data quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Big Data environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building end-to-end data pipelines.
• Strong experience with GCP, including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer; AWS is a plus.
• Experience with Airflow and dbt for data transformation.
• Experience building real-time data pipelines and using Spark/Hadoop.
• Experience with IaC tools like Pulumi or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch data pipelines using Airflow, Python, SQL, and dbt.
• Build real-time ingestion pipelines from Pub/Sub into Cloud Storage and BigQuery via Dataflow.
• Own pipelines end-to-end from design to deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Analytics teams to meet data needs.
• Ensure data quality, security, and observability across the data platform.
