Job summary

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of a real-time and batch data platform powering ViX and analytics. You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Product, Data Science, and Analytics teams.

You will design pipelines, govern data quality, and drive cost-efficient solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and Dataflow, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Big Data environments.
• 2+ years in a Tech-lead role setting technical direction across teams.
• Proven mentoring and development of junior engineers.
• Experience designing real-time data platforms at high volume.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data platform architectures and reusable components.
• Lead real-time pipelines on Pub/Sub and Dataflow with exact-once delivery.
• Own end-to-end pipelines from design to production support.
• Drive data governance, observability, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and participate in technical interviews.
